From Journalism I’ve learned how to write for the newspaper, meaning I’m used to just writing essays and stuff for my blog. But writing for a newspaper, I definitely got the feel of the style and type of writing an article should be. I’m not in the photo section of The Hatchet but I did learn about how a photo should look and how to edit it. Being on The Hatchet also has made me aware of what is going on around school. What I learned from this semester has met my expectations.
This semester went very well. I’ve written some great articles. People do read what I have to say or show and they get excited, inspired, and follow what I say. I’ve even had someone quote back to me what I wrote one time! Someone said it earlier today in class but being on The Hatchet does make you feel important.
For this next semester, I hope to somehow make more non-opinion fashion pieces even though it might be hard. Like my last article about Alyssa Bird. People like her aren’t easy to find though, especially in the Bay area. I think more people enjoyed that than my opinion pieces, even though I think they’re not that opinionated. I think I’ll try to get more involved with the fashion community and write some more great articles.
